ARE DONATIONS TAX DEDUCTIBLE?
Absolutely! Donations are issued directly to the charity and only registered charitable organisations will be sponsored by the group. You will be sent a charitable receipt from the presenting charity that received the main donation. Tax receipts will be issued directly from the charity to the donor. Charities are legally responsible for issuing receipts by February each year.
CAN I SEND THE DONATION TO THE CHARITY MYSELF?
As our goal is to make a large donation on behalf of the whole group, we want to be able to support this endeavour and give a single group a large donation so they are able to make a larger impact in our community. This is the power of individuals united for a cause! We also need to be able to track your donations so that you get credit for the donation and remain an active, voting-eligible Member of the group.
HOW MUCH OF MY DONATION GOES TO 100WWC ADMINISTRATIVE COSTS?
100 Women Who Care Toronto West is organized and operated by a volunteer team. 100% of the money raised at our meetings goes directly to the selected charities.
